To be completely honest, I expected a grand revelatory experience there among the clutter of trees and electric yellow birds and crystalline (sometimes red) lakes...and I didn't have one. I kept waiting to be smacked in the face by spiritual understanding, or brought to my knees in unprecedented awe, and I never was.
I may not have all the words, but God does and is able to use mine. Perhaps, God will work on our behalf as we step out in faith.
A couple months later I find myself entrusted with leadership roles, lots of responsibilities and doing lots of relationship-building that I’m passionate about. Working alongside with friends. Sometimes it feels like I am inside the dream that I had as a young boy. I truly feel blessed to take my first steps in leadership in such an incredible surrounding
For the past nearly three years the words "Send Me" were my cry from a place of never being content or feeling like I belonged. Little did I know that God had heard my cries, each and every time.
That’s the thing about seasons - they’re ever coming, ever changing, yet can be so drastically different that the one you may have just experienced.
If there is no hardship, no opposition, there can be no victory. To have victory is to overcome challenge,
pain and strife. Victories give us confidence, they give us strength to keep going. So why are we so quick
to shy away from the pain and discomfort of a challenge? It’s all in our perspective.
When we spend time reflecting on Creation, we can see and encounter God
If you allow people to validate you due to your abilities, you give them just as much permission to invalidate you when you’re incapable.
Seasons are necessary for growth and adventure with God.
