This is a part of the MAD DTS.

Photographers and videographers impact the world in powerful ways. Art is a mutual language spoken in every country of the world – you don’t need a translator to tell your story! Team up with God, share His stories and make a change in the world! This Discipleship Training School allows you to deepen your relationship with the Creator as well as learn to influence the world around you with your gifts and talents. That’s what it’s all about! A few times a week, you will connect with your specific art focus to explore ways of using your talent. This DTS is not an art school and is not intended to increase your skill in any of the art areas, although this will most likely happen in such a creative environment. The main focus of this DTS is to help you learn to use your existing artistic talents to worship and glorify Jesus Christ.

During your DTS there will be opportunities to showcase your art. YWAM Brisbane's The Meeting Place Café features photos from students, and showcase nights for the video projects. We also connect with youth groups and high schools with opportunities to use your creativity to connect with the young people there. While on your outreach, you can use photography and video to capture those unforgettable moments interacting with people or exploring a new nation.

ABOUT THE DTS

The Discipleship Training School consists of two phases. The Training Phase where you hear topics that take you deeper into your relationship with God. You learn things like the character and nature of God, Hearing His voice, God's Father heart for us.The Outreach Phase takes a more practical approach and applies the principles of loving others all over the world. Teams from the DTS split up and travel to different outreach destinations. In short, you first get to know God, then focus on making Him known.

During the DTS, you'll have teaching on biblical topics such as:
The Character and Nature of God
Hearing the Voice of God
The Father Heart of God
Spiritual Warfare, Worship & Intercession
Relationships
Biblical Worldview

Cost of Training Phase:

$4850 AUD

For currency conversion, click here. This includes tuition, accommodation, meals, some local outreach costs. Does not include things like visas, health insurance, personal spending, laundry costs, or outgoing calls.

This is where what you learn is put into practice. The outreach phase is where you take what you've just learned in the classroom and make it practical! You'll be spending 7-8 weeks serving in different locations, locally and internationally with a team from your DTS. Outreach locations vary depending on the school and/or focus. You'll find out your outreach locations during your school. Fees also vary according to the location you're going to.

Cost of Outreach Phase:

$3000 - $5000

Cost varies based on destination. This includes overseas outreach flights, accommodation, meals, transportation. It does not include things like vaccinations, travel insurance, or personal spending.
